Is it possible to Migrate IM Database/Archive from ver 5.0 advant controller to Ver 5.1 M controller ?

There is a system installed with IM and advant controller and the client wants to migrate the archive , logs and trends basically everything that the IM was saving to a new system ver 5.1 FP3 but with a different controller , is that possible and how ? and what will it impact knowing i want a new configuration for the IM
