CMX 40 - Simulation on the input of a P-card
A description of this resolution:
- The diagnostics message can be ignored.
This diagnostics message can be ignored as the channel of the P-card is simulated or monitoring can be switched off for the duration of the simulation.
If a correct diagnostics message has been sent despite the simulation, the simulation may not be carried out at the output of the input function block (source), but must be carried out at the input of the following function block (sink).
'CMX 40 - Simulation on the input of a P-card' resolves the following:
Simulation in the I/O configuration on the outputs of input function blocks is permitted. If a periphery disturbance (e. g. valence error) occurs for the simulated channel, either an incorrect or no diagnostics message will be sent to the service station.
This does not negatively affect the processing of the input value.
The underlying cause is:
- Swap the OP codes of the simulation
The OP codes of the simulation which reroutes the output of the input value to the simulation area are swapped. As a result there is no or a different alphanumeric, which bears no relation to the EPC of the P-card which reports the error, configured to this address in the simulation area.
If the function block generates a diagnostics message, it is incorrect and cannot be evaluated.
