What are the benefits of 800xA History over Information Manager & options for migrating existing historical data?
We are deciding whether to migrate from 800xA Information Manager SV5.1 to 800xA History as part of our 800xA upgrade to SV6.1. However, we would like to get some additional clarifications before making our final decision.
1. What are the overall benefits of 800xA History over Information Manager?
2. Will Information Manager become obsolete in later releases of 800xA and be completely replaced with 800xA History?
3. What are our options for transferring current historical data and/or log configurations to 800xA History? Will we have to lose our IM historical data when we switch or is there a tool/application/procedure that can be used to migrate the data? If such a tool/application exists, are there additional costs associated with using it?
