Answer question
Safeguard 400 - mastervote shut down order
Hi Henrik,
two months ago we had a discussion regarding my Safeguard -> AC800M online replacement project. During this discussion I said that we will move all DO signals from each Safeguard termination unit at a time (one by one termination unit) to AC800M from and you've said:"Isolation on no pulse response and shutdown order is enabled in config.file so if the process give a S/D signal while channel test gives an error you will S/D all 7 signals on that MasterVote (output parameter section #5) But I do not see that as a big issue ". So, now unfortunately we can not move DO signals one termination unit by one because of the existing cables positioning. So ie., we will first move DO signal from termination unit 1 (TU1), then from TU3, then again a signal from TU1, and so on... So in practice, it could happen that a S/D order comes while channel test gives an error and a complete termination unit signals go to SD. So to avoid this situation, I've seen in the Safeguard Safety Manual a sentence that says: "Safety outputs in manual mode are not covered by the channel test, but will be reported in the safety system message buffer." So, if we put each DO channel to manual mode (and block otuput ???) from the moment the signal is being transferred to AC800M HI, there should not be any problem with that termination unit if the process give a S/D signal (because there is no channel test activated and therefore no channel test error)?
If this would not work, I suppose the other problem solution would be to change a configuration parameter "DisISO_np" from "0" to "1"? So then if one DO signal is removed from a TU, the other signals would not go to SD if if the process give a S/D signal to a removed signal?
Also, I suppose that a ND (DSTD N021) termination units channels do not change from "0" to "1" if a TU isolation, or Sefeguard Controller SD happens?
Thanks in advance,
Hrvoje
