Network Connection Loss on 800xA for DCI Connectivity Servers
In my Event viewer, I am sporadically seeing network connectivity losses (with restoration followed shortly thereafter - typically a few seconds or less) on my 800xA for DCI Connectivity Servers (there are four of these servers). This is not happening on any of the other nodes, so I presume that this network connection loss is on the DCI control network. The network binding order appears to be correct per 3BUA001068R003 - ECC MUX Release Notes Version 2.1 (page :
Client-Server Network 1 (172.16.x.x)
Client-Server Network 2 (172.17.x.x)
DCI Network 1 (Network #1)
DCI Network 2 (Network #0)
These symptoms seem similar to the first listed issue in the 'Known Problems" section if 3BUA001068R003. However, this issue is explained as being associated with large file copies, which I do not believe to be the case in my instance (unless DCI is performing large and frequent file copies behind the scenes?).
These 800xA for DCI Connectivity Servers are Virtual Machines running on two redundant VMWare ESXi 5.0.0 hosts. Two of the servers are running on one host, the other two are running on the other host. Each host has an identically configured virtual switch, and connects to an external managed switch.
Any ideas on what could be causing this frequent disconnection?
