I really appreciate your app
Thanks lease can you answer following questions
1- can we do this steps with different CPU types, like transfer from PM573 to PM583
2- at the last step can we transfer to CPU that already have project ??
by Flavio Mussolin
Hi
IMHO it is preferable that the copy is between two equal CPUs, if the project is on a PM573, the copy is better done on the same CPU model.
If the cpu you have to overwrite is not empty, the transfer from the SD card will overwrite everything with the contents of the SD card

Nice tutorial, thanks for sharing.
I have one question: "Is there anyway to edit plc program in clone program?"
by Flavio Mussolin
Hi Titus
one partial information about the question, this is the answer of my contact in ABB:
As you know on our PLC AC500 when you download the project is downloaded ONLY the compiled, so if you lose the source you can only "copy" with SD clone but do not upload the source as it is not present.
Unless, during the download phase, the explicit procedure of downloading the source code has been carried out, in that case it is possible to retrieve it.
The research continues ....:-)

Hi Titus
it is always a pleasure when we can exchange some opinions.
Regarding your question I have not yet found a way to be able to edit a program from a clone copy. Probably, we have to do a reverse path because as you know the program in the cpu is transferred after being compiled, so the solution could be to decompile the file that you read in the SD. I think ABB technicians have the chance to do it if it's really necessary, but I do not know if these tools are available to us. If I have any news, I'll let you know. Have a nice day
