Problems with 800xA trends in SmartClient
I receive this message from the SmartClient: Unspecified error from the data provider.
Does it exist some more fault trace logs in the smart client?
Is it the service provider that have problems...(IM Server)?
Anyone have any ideas?
Can you click on the link below to download the product guide for smart client.The page number 91 onwards there is description on how to check the status of data providers and the to create trace logs.Perhaps after we have these information we would be able to pin point the problem.
Sometimes if we have the trend configured with a log which doesn't exist ( saved before ) or having some errors with the log configuration, then the Data Provider will not be able to read the data. In this case we may get this error.
This is not the service provider of IM. This message comes from OPCHDA data provider of Smart Client which is present in IM node. Start -> Programs -> ABB Smart CLient -> Program Supervision Manager will list all the data providers available. Please see OPCHDA data provider which gives this error.
How to correct:
Please check whether 800xA has the corresponding log and it is able to read the data points properly.
By giving more information with some screenshots may help to diagnose the actual problem.
