History Service Configuration

Hi Everyone,

I can't configure history service.I do configuration steps,but Service provider says it doesn' start.What will I do to configure the history service?I'm waiting an adivce for this problem.

You have not provided any information that we could use to diagnose your problem. Perhaps some screen shots of your configuration, and details of exactly what you did or didnt do ? Have you got any windows error logs ? Maybe some information about your 800xA version and computer hardware etc would help.

Which History service?

Apart from the built-in Basic History service in 800xA there are a few more (IM History, 800xA History, PGIM, etc.)

Basic History does not need much to run - the easiest mistake you do here is forgetting to select the node to run the service provider in (default is empty = no node = no service will start...).

OK - so you have Basic history configured on CS1/CS2 and working correctly , but the Basic History service wont start on the IM History node. Is that correct ?

The Basic History service is not required on the IM History node. I've seen this configured at other sites, but I dont know why the manual tells you to configure it because I have never seen it used.

Configure Basic History for your controllers on the Connectivity Server nodes. Install and configure the IM collector link so that the IM can collect data from Basic History. Remove the basic history service from the IM.
