Connecting PU410 to MB300 network with Advant tools
I got two 800xA connectivity servers connected to two MB300 networks (31/32). They have one PU410 RTA-board each. Everything is working perfectly fine.
Now I'm trying to connect a third PU410 RTA-board, using a server with advant engineering tools. The RTA board is connected to both networks (31 & 32).
I've used Engineering Board Setup (3.1) to set the correct networks and node number. I'm able to connect to the new RTA-board through Online Builder, but I can't reach anything else on the networks. On the 800xA connectivity servers, the new RTA board doesn't appear on the communication display in the control structure either.
So it seems to me that I'm not really connected to the MB300 networks. The switches used for the MB300 networks is Hirschmann MAR1020. The ports on the switches is configured exaclty the same as the ports used by the RTA-boards of the CS-servers. At least as far as I can see....
I should add that the new RTA-board was previously used on another MB300 network with another node number, but I can't see why that should cause any problems.
I'm totally stuck on this one.
Thank you in advance for your help! :)
1st, I would like to correct you that PU410 is not called as RTA Board. It is called as RTA Box. PU515A is called as RTA Board.
RTA Board (PU515A) is a Card type which install inside of your CS machine and mounted on the PCI slot. Where RTA Box is an external unit doesn't fit inside of the CS machine.
Okay, I need few information from you:
1. 3rd RTA Box which you have connected for your Engineering station, what is the Operating system used, OS is 32 bit or 64 bit?
2. On your Engineering station machine, Please open Windows Task Manager, under process or details tab try to find out WUDHost process are running or not? These process shall be present 40 numbers.
1) Is 31/32 using MB300E (extended) protocol instead of the regular MB300?
Compare the NETWL9 elements and adjust new box's if required (but how to save such setting is another story).
2) Does TX light on PU410's MB300 ports blink once per second? If not, Ethernet link or PU410 network tasks are down.
