How to crate Object faceplate for OPC values?
I have to collect data from 4 Various PM 573-Eth to my central DCS plant.
And upto my knowledge it is too difficult to transfer data in to controller.
So I have to take alternative way crate small object with faceplate.
I have to some analog value to display and have to send some command.
For that I required Faceplate in which I will show Real value, Trend and some command.
So can you tell me how can I create that faceplate (or small object) for individual signal.
I have almost 80-100 signal to display.

It sounds like you need to use "object types" with your generic OPC network. This is quite easy.
- Upload your OPC network to get a list of Objects and properties from your controller into your control structure.
- Make some simple object types in a project library in your object type structure for eg. analog value, digital value etc.
- Create objects in the Functional structure with the SAME NAME as the objects you uploaded into the control structure. Use the Object types you created in your object type library
- Run the Uploader again
The Uploader will recognize that the objects in your controller are also in the functional structure. These objects will be linked together by name and now your controller objects will have the correct "type"
Now you can create faceplates, graphics aspects etc in your object type structure and everything will be inherited into your controller objects.
but I dont get some of idea.
- I have created Generic OPC server connection in Control structure (Named: OPC_AC500). Then I have uploaded my object ( I got all my data and object)
-Now does I have to create new library or new object type in a Object type structure? ( I have created new library and make small faceplate for that )
-I don't get any Idea about 3rd step.
Please can you further clarify this.
Sorry for inconvenience, but I am not highly used to of 800xA.
