Freelance License error Aspect Directory Object
We are performing a test to implement ‘Freelance for 800xA’ on a customer site(SID40176).
When creating the ‘Aspect Directory Object’ we got a license error (See screenshots).
In order to proceed with the test we looking for a solution for the license error. Could it be that the Control – Software Type: Basic is the problem?
Kind regards,

Hello Patrick,
yes, for 9.2 you will need the extended I/O licenses. As of Freelance 2013 that difference has been scrapped in favor of a distinguished "OPC for Extended Automation" OPC gateway license.
With your current Automation Sentinel contract you should be able to upgrade to Freelance 2016.

Hi Patrick,
In older Freelance versions You needed a special license for IO signals if You wanted to use Freelance Connect to System 800xA, so You are right - Control Software Type: Basic is the problem.

Mike
