800xA Alarm Response
I am configuring the Alarm Response feature and it may happen
that we have the same tag in different PG2 graphics (2 or 3).
I was wondering in which way the system "selects" the first of these
PG2 graphics to be presented to the operator as first,
when a particular object defined in it is in the alarm status.
Particularly, if it is an Alphabetical order of the graphics aspect name,
how is it possible to decide which is the graphics aspect to be
displayed during Alarm Response, only renaming the graphics
in a more convenient way ? or is there a different strategy that could be use instead ?
Thanks a lot
I believe the function was developed with the main target to bring up something *unique* on an object, e.g. a faceplate, a trend, an event list, operator note, etc.
The function is complex since the second configuration tab, "Aspect Type Mappings" may act as wildcard if no match is made by the criteria on the first tab.
If you want to be able to differentiate between two aspects of the same type (yellow) they must probably be put in separate aspect categories (green).
You can add custom categories as needed, but you can not change the category of an already existing aspect. However, the PG2 Editor allow you to open two aspects in parallel and copy (all) between.
