Modbus data communication between AC900F and AC800MHI through CI867 Module
In 1 project we are using Modbus TCP/IP communication between AC800MHI and AC900F.
We are able to get the data from AC800MHI(for SIL application) to AC900F, but when we are writing the data from AC900F to AC800MHI , the data (Integrer) is going , but not holding. It is coming momentary and then becoming zero.
We are using control Builder safe for AC800MHI and Freelance 2013 for AC900F.
When we are installing Freelance 2013 software in same system where we have installed Control Builder safe, The OPC communication is not happening, We have installed the OPC Gateway of freelance, in order to send the data on OPC protocol fromn AC900F to Front end third party server.
Please tell what can be the reason for this.
Seems AC 900F is modbus slave and AC 800MHI is modbus master in that case check at master side you are reading values cyclically. Means request command generated from master frequently. Incase freelance controllers are master there is option for auto request as well as there is REQ pin to generate read request on external timer.
Pls let me know if that is not the case. Reply back if there is any error code you get via block MODS_VIEW.
Assuming there is no addressing issue. Also verify that you are getting correct data you need even if you get it once.
The secondly regarding OPC.
Correct me if I am wrong but If your system architecture is as following
You need to install and configure OPCS and OPC gateway both, resource id of OPCS and OPCG should be same.
I recommend to read through manual "3BDD012511 Engineering - OPC Server F" and check this link if that helps @
