IM51 Server Error Message "Failed to Extend HS_INDEXES Index Segment adding Message"
Firstly, I apologize to write directly to you. I am writing this post because we have problems with our Oracle database management.
Every time we try to use the 800xA Event Browser within IM51, we get no connection with the configured Message Log $HSIMMSGLOG_IP_172_16_4_51-1-o (pressing "Execute" and then the "Returned No Values" message appears). This problem occurred suddenly after being working perfectly (we saw alarms and events from several weeks before). Also, when looking in the Alarm and Event List, this is filled with the message "Failed to Extend HS_INDEXES Index Segment adding Message/Vendor Attribute".
We are almost sure that the problem is the Oracle database configuration. Do you have any suggestion? Have this happened to you before?

Ok about this matter we have one experience similar,
and we found the solution changing the size of indexes of IM oracle database, you can change the size of files with right click over IM icon, database mantenance, and appears one window with bars, if you navigate this window there is a way to increase the size of this databases and in our case it works, and we have not more problems.

"Insufficient Oracle Tablespace
Oracle tablespaces will be sized correctly if you made the correct choices for small,
medium, and large for each log type in Oracle Instance wizard. Also, putting Oracle
and file-based data on dedicated data drives rather than the system drive allows
tablespaces to autoextend up to the free space available on the drive where they
reside. If you do not make the correct selections based on your storage
requirements, you may run out of tablespace under the following conditions:
•Creating a OPC Message log that is larger than can be supported by the allotted tablespace. For example, if you selected Small OPC message log (up to 500K entries), then you attempt to create a 12-million entry message log, history will not allow this. In this case, you must adjust the INFORM_HS_RUNTIME and HS_INDEX tablespaces. See Table 14.
•If you attempt to configure more numeric logs than supported by the allotted tablespace. Adjust the HS_CONFIG and HS_ICONFIG tablespaces. See Table 15.
•If your PDL application grows larger than is supported by the allotted tablespace. Adjust the HS_PDL and HS_IPDL tablespaces. See Table 16.
