800xA + drives LENZE / SEW
We are looking for someone having experience with connecting drives LENZE and SEW to AC800M via Profibus.
Specificaly these models:
LENZE - E84AVHCE4024SBO
SEW - MDX61B0110-5A3-4-00
We use P&P libraries, but I think we will face general issues during commissioning.
Will be grateful for any information, that will shorten the start-up.

Most profibus drives have a similar interface, typically a control word written to the drive and a status word read from the drive. There will also be at minimum a speed reference to the drive and some speed or current feedback from the drive.
However, each manufacturers drive is different. You will need to write some customised code to convert the control word bits into specific start / stop / reset comands and to decode the status bits.
This isnt difficult. It is however easier if you can copy a working example and tweak it for yourself. You may be able to use the Pulp & Paper elements, there are also some ABB Std Drive function blocks you could adapt. The simplest solution might simply to be to write a "wrapper" around your chosen motor function block to convert the SEW or LENZE word formats to and from ABB Drive formats.
