Error with Engineering Base Service on 800xA INFI Harmony Aspect & Connectivity Server SV5.0 RevC SP2
Hi. I am working in a plant with a 800xA system (SV5.0 RevC SP2) that performs as supervisory system. The control system is based on INFI 90/Harmony controllers.
The problem that we have is that one of the services running (Engineering Base Service) in one of the redundant aspect and connectivity servers (ASCS1, primary) is giving us an "Error" state every time we start the server. We have tried to restart it manually, but immediately return an error. This is the only service that has this problem, the rest are OK.
I think that it is important to mention that this error started occurring one day when power supply failed, along with the UPS, and the whole system was shutdown suddenly. I have been reading online and I notice that this event could make the MS SQL Desktop Engine database to be corrupted (MS SQL Server 2000).
I need to fix this issue as soon as possible, so I ask you:
a) Is it possible to recover the correct operation of the supervisory system if I just disable that service on the "Service Structure"? Will this be a proper action? (for now, we are not making changes to the application)
b) I also read that it is possible to use a a backup copy of the database (.MDB file?) and load it to the server. How can I achieve this? Using a special software? Tag Importer Exporter, maybe?
c) Can the DB be rebuilt from the Aspect Directory? How?
I hope I explained myself well. Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can provide.

Engineering base service SHOULD NOT be deleted in 5.0SP2 RevC system.
It is obsolete only from 5.1 and above system versions.
Now regarding the error state of service, Are you doing any engineering using Engineering Studio in your sytem?
If No, then please ignore the error state of this service.
If Yes, then please contact support line because there can be multiple reasons why this can fail. They can help you up.
