Connecting Control network areas using standard Router
Hi,
In our project we have two control network areas
172.16.80.x
172.16.88.x
We have interconnected control network areas through standard router to have communication between controllers, as we can't have dependancy on Connectivity servers. We are facing problems with redundancy can you suggest how we can achieve redundancy without having dependancy on CS.

Redundant network connection requires the RNRP service to be running, also in the router.
Currently your choices of router is limited to:
- A Microsoft Windows computer with enough NICs + ABB RNRP service
- An ABB NE870 or 871 industrial router
The NE87x industrial routers run the RNRP service and comes in two hardware models:
NE870: 3 Gigabit + 8 Fast (100 Mbit/s) Ethernet ports.
NE871: 3 Gigabit Ethernet ports.
