800xA Faceplate
Hi
We use 800xa function block inside our function block.(for example ValveUni)
And we create faceplate for valve. but in PPA we have 2 faceplate.
- Standard ValveUni Faceplate
- Created customize faceplate
Now we don't want to show standard faceplate. we want show just our created faceplate.
Please help for solution for this problem.
thanks
Answers
1. Create new aspect category for your custom valve faceplate
2. Use aspect filter to hide standard faceplate category
Note: an aspect filter will reign over all faceplates, not only on your custom valve type.
Haven't tested (I suspect it won't work on released libraries) but moving the standard faceplate into a custom extension library would make it possible to hide via the inactivate feature of extension libraries).
I wish it was easier to override/replace a standard aspect. Speak to your regional ABB sales representative about enhancement requests.
See the Online Help for 800xA or "System 800xA 6.0 Configuration" manual Appendix B for information on how to configure and use "Extension Libraries". Extension library handling is available from verion 5.1 onwards.
In an extension library you can override the standard aspects for an object, including the faceplate with your own aspects. These changes can then be used even after system upgrades etc or can at any time be reverted back to the standard aspect if required.
I'm out of office, but found this attached document on my cloud drive.
It does not target your problem, but do show one of the usage of extension libraries and hiding. If you can move the undesired faceplate into a custom extension library this might be your resolution.
I have doubts if this works if the library is released, but please give it a try and revert here.
