Operator Workplace crash on first click
Hi
I have a problem with one Client (PC/Node -> 800xa System 5.1)
If I open a operator workplace (HMI) on this PC it will crash on the first click.
Before i click one something looks that everthing work.
To fix this i did already this:
- removed the Client from the domain and reconnected it back in the domain
- disconnected the Client in the configuration wizard. And reconnectet it back.
- installed a never displaydriver for the Nvidia FX380 graphic card
The client crash looks identical local on the machine or RDP. So I thinks the graphic card driver is not the problem.
Thanks for help :)

Does anything become written to \OperateITTemp\Log\Exception...log when the workplace crashes?
If so, use Configuration Wizard to enable Dump On Exception (press and hold ALT+SHIFT when selecting Diagnostics to get to where you can enable DOE).
Provide the details to your regional ABB support center.

Hi,
I have seen this problem in some project long back.
In that Operator workplace, the server is not having the same 800xA software version.
Like in Aspect server having FP4 but operator server is not upgraded to FP4 from FP1. SO the workplace crashes everytime when we try to open.
Check the versions installed in Operator workplace server and the Aspect server should have the same version, revision or FP.

Check the version of Internet Explorer on the "Bad" client vs the working clients
- Edit
Sorry, I missed your comment "The client crash looks identical local on the machine or RDP" so assuming RDP is Remote Desktop IE probably not the issue but, wouldn't hurt to check.
Local or RDP both use the local graphics card
Problem solved.
I took a Backup from an other workplace with the same hardware.
- started sysprep for a new SID
- changed IP settings
- connected to domain and 800xA
