after installing the license as per dongle id it is showing sentinel has expired in license status viewer.how to solve this.800 xa 5.1
Answers
Hello,
From 800xA 5.1 RevA a test of Sentinel is executed in CLS server.
In Admin Structure exists an object called System Release Info, with an aspect with the same name. The Release date has first of all to be set.
If it is empty you will get the problem you have.
To solve it:
1) stop the 800xA services from Configuration Wizard - Maintenance Stop
2) stop IIS service
3) remove CLS software and reinstall.
4) reboot and afterwards restart IIS.
Probably you have your License Server on the Primary Aspect Server.
Try to have only this node up and running when doing the steps above. If you succeed and afterwards start another node, which gives empty Release date, then you have to reinstall on that node too (without IIS service) ....

Answer from duplicate thread copied here to to avoid information to be scattered.
"Check inside your license (.SLA) file, eg with notepad.exe
Expiry date (if set) is clearly visible as a separate column.
Furthermore the SENTINEL feature has a value corresponding to the expiry of the current Sentinel agreement, eg 2013.12 (Dec 2013). After this date, you may not install any revisions or feature packs.
Please contact your regional ABB sales representative in case you have an expired license.
