Can't install standalone license
License Status viewer says: Invalid License Granted: Feature found, but wrong Machine ID
ABB License Entry, menu Machine IDs-> Installed Machine IDs shows
DEMO
000C29D0BFA7.
ipconfig /all shows our mac address 00-15-5D-B5-68-08. Our license is purchased for this mac address.
The service ABB Client License Provider is started.
In ABB License Entry I have done File-> View and Load License. I can see that it is our license and I have loaded it. I used the user account 800xAInstall.
OS is W-2008 sp2.
What shall I do to install our license?
Best Regards,
Wolfgang

Hello,
yes it is the CLSErrors log file that can give us more information. I assume what I wrote is valid from 5.1 RevA....
Anyway I could not see any problem.
Maybe your MAC-address is for a network card that you don't use ?.
Normally I select the MAC address for the Primary ClientServer Network card.
As you are using a pretty old software, I assume the 800xA product owner has a number of corrections. Maybe you should take contact with your local ABB support to get new executables.

Hello,
what's actually sent to you is the MID (Machine ID) you find on the rightmost column in Licence Entry for 800xA Core.
If this is according to your MAC-address, then you should reinstall the CLS software.
If not, ask for a new .SLA file.

Hi,
With your sentence "Invalid License Granted: Feature found, but wrong Machine ID ABB License Entry"
It is clear that please change the license according to your machine ID.
get the .sla file for the current Aspect server machine ID and load it in the Aspect server. As it will be the License server.
Hello,
Maybe you find more info in the CLS Log file under \Program Files\ABB Industrial IT/ABBLicense\Logs\RUTLogs.log ?

I want to install on this vm first to get the 800xA working correctly first. Then I will delete this machine and install again in our main machine that is also a vm but ESX.
Hello,
when moving a virtual machine to another environment, you will get a new MAC-address.
So then ipconfig /all will show the new one, and you need to get a new .SLA-file to load in Licence Entry.
If you think you have too many "MAC-problems" then you can consider to buy a USB Dongle for your system.
