Dynamic breaking of DC Motor using DCS800
i do use Compact AC800M to control DC drive DCS800M, i do mange to start the drive by sending the follwoing sequance to the MCW 1142 , 1443 and run the motor using 1151 , stopping the motor rotation by sending 1150 .
the case id the motor is coast stopping while i need it to do sudden stop (dynamic breaking) i find out the if i do send 1138 it should do dynamic breaking but it does not , also notes i do configure that in the drive in the 21.02 , 21.03 and 20.04 but the motor is do coast stopping .... is thier is any thing missing , kindly advice
If the DCS800 is 4Q type , then u have to select "Ramp Stop" in drive of parameters 21.02, 21.03,21.04.
& Then to control the Drive form AC880M, u have to send 1142 to Drive, then u will get Rdy On from drive.
2) Send =1143 to make Main contactor Close (Armature Contactor), then u will get Rdy Run from Drive.
3) Send= 1151 to Run the Drive, then u will get Rdy Ref from Drive.
4) Now u release the reference(Speed Ref), the drive will follow the Set Ref.
To stop the Motor,
Option1: Frst Remove the Reference, Wait for Reference to Zero. Then Send CW:1143.
Option2: Send Cw:1143.
Best method is Option1.
(Please check the Parameter : 21.16 = On)
If u wish to use 1150 to stop the Motor , then check the parameter 21.16 = On&Run & also send the 1150 after speed ref is zero.
