Inbuilt Function Block for Torque sharing between two drives?
Is there any block in CCB_5.1 for torque sharing between two drives for individual motors for color coating machine application?
SP1 = 40
SP2 = 40
PV1 = 45
PV2 = 38
then I want to share the apprx. same load to both the drives through any inbuilt block or any other solution......
Hi you are asking about paper machine sectional drives. ABB have Proper Solution for this with Functions Blocks and facplates. we use it during papaer and coater machine commissioning
For this you need to contact ABB Pulp and Paper Team.

No. This is not a standard part of any Control Builder Library.
It really depends on your application requirements. "Torque Sharing" is not difficult - basically the drives do all the work based on torque setpoints sent to them from the Controller.
Yes, as already answered, ABB do make a sectional drive system for the pulp and paper industry and for any mid to large scale paper and web handling application this is the recommended equipment.
However, if you have a small application with only a couple of ABB drives then there is no reason you cannot build this yourself. You will however need to configure and commission all of the drive communications, drive setup etc yourself. Quite a large amount of this work is done on the drive, the AC800M is only there to send setpoints to the drives. You will need someone with experience on commisioning drive applications, this is not a job for a novice.
There are standard function blocks for talking to ABB ACS drives.
