Microscada - RTU 560 IEC 104 Command Sending Problem
Hi,
In our Project, we are trying to establish a substation monitoring and control system. In this Project we are using ABB RTU560s to collect data from the cubicles and send data to them in different locations . In Main Control Center there is MicroScada SYS600 9.3 FP3 communicating with RTUs via IEC 60870-104 protocol. There is no problem about receiving the data to Microscada but we can not send commands from Microscada to RTUs. When we try from RTU Web HMI and with a 3rd party Scada Gateway via 104 communication it Works. We also suspected about Licensing and we demanded a trial license from local ABB. We also tried with that full license but we are not still able to send command. What can be the problem? Waiting for solutions thank you

Hi, Burak! This can occur by a lot of issues... Did you compare the command sequence frames from third party SCADA, and Microscada, with a protocol analyzer, like Wireshark?

Hi Hugo,Thank you for comment. I didn't compared the sequence frames. Currently MicroSCADA command sending problem is solved but not we have an issue about sending command from 800xA to MicroSCADA. You have any idea for solving this? Thanks again.

So what did you do solve the problem as described above exactly?

Actually nothing :) It was just about the license file not containing control attribute. I don't know what kind of lincense my colleagues used but last week a guy from ABB Finland checked the system and gave me temporary license. Then, problem solved.

About the communication between 800xA and Microscada... is this in IEC-104 protocol? Or through OPC?

They are communicating through OPC

Hi, situation has changed today. I used an OPC/Binary Output and I was able to write value but another problem occured such as; when the object value is 1 command can be sent and value becomes 0 but when the object value is 0, the command cannot be sent.
It's so strange for me. Any solutions?

This is really strange, I encountered once a similar problem, with other systems, and it was related to data format. Can you try to write value -1 from 800xA instead 1?

-1 also didn't work.

I think the problem is in the attribute "selected before execution" for commands. Try disabling this option. Either activate this option from the control center

But the settings are just the same as you mentioned. On the rtu Side the sbo option disabled. Selection is just Done on 800xA.
