I need to control a few ACS800 drives via EtherNet/IP. My current setup is PM864/CI873 and Reta-01 in the drive side.
I've loaded the eds file and I can see the Reta-01 in the CBM, but no comms yet.
Any other special config needed?
What library (function blocks) should I use?
Drive side config works as it has been tested with Controllogix.
We work with this module but using LD800DN linking device, (works fine)
we try with different EDS files to connect with other devices but it was imposible, the system does not read Other EDS files
we ask for a support for connection to other devices via Ethernet IP and the response in that moment was that Ethernet IP module Ci873, only works with LD800DN (ethernet IP to device net linking device) this module does not work with any other device.
If someone knows if now is it possible to connect with other devices via Ethernet IP, please update because in this moment we have some electric ethernet IP devices to connect to ABB system.
The following settings should be made for successful communication:
On ACS 800 drive:
98.07 parameter should be set to 100 and 101
51.16 parameter should be set to (2)
For this settings to take effect either power cycle the drive or set the parameter 51.27 to refresh.
On the CB side:
While importing the EDS file of the drive use the standard rule of mapping and select the option "1 byte to 1 Dword".(8 channels are created -4 i/p channels and 4 o/p channels).
Download and go online and assign
First o/p channel -127 -to start the motor(1151-start ,so 4*256+127)(1150 – stop,so 4*256 +126)
-126 -to stop the motor.
second o/p channel -4
third and fourth o/p channels - speed at which you want the motor to run.
On the third and fourth read channels you can read the speed at which motor is running.
For reverse running of the motor happens in the third and fourth o/p channels i.e. – mention in the 3 rd o/p channel >128 and <255(rverse running of the motor)
