Alarm Hiding in 800xA 5.0 Sp2
Hi, There is a requirement to hide all the alarms when the MODBUS links Fails.
Alarm Hiding feature in 800xA was used to hide all the alarms.
Hiding Rule applied at the Tree-Level (e.g at control Module level), based on the bad quality status of a MODBUS Signal under Control Module.
There are nearly 600 signals in the modbus. Alarm Hiding is succusefull in hiding majority of the signals.
out of 600 signals, every time there are 19 signals ( different signals) which were left in alarm banner in 'Alarm is neither Active nor acknowledged state'
I have tried different permuatation and combinations with Hiding Off Delay and Deactivation delay. but none of them were able to help. every time it was ended up with 19 alarms in the alarm banner with 'Alarm is neither active nor acknowledges state.
could anybody help me to hide all the 600 signal alarms upon link failure.
Retroactive Hiding surfaced only (very) late in 5.1.
In versions prior to that, there is a risk that the inevital delay from the triggering of the mask from "off" to "on" until all rules of the mask are enforcing hiding may allow a number of alarms to slip by.
Put simply, without retroactive hiding there is a delay from trigger of hiding until it becomes active. Expect at least one second delay, other factors may increase that figure.
Always 19 is strange.
