Can two emulators of AC800F controller running on different PCs on LAN communicate through TCP/iP send/recv blocks
Emulator1 and Emulator2 are running on different Computers .one computer has Combivis . from this both emulators can be commissioned and downloaded. In HMI both emulators variables can be monitored. But when I send one variable from one emulator to other emulator using SR-SRTCP interface and coressponding send receive blocks in corresponding emulators, the variable is not received. The receiving block times out continuously and send block shows nothing sent. why it's happening so.? Is there a solution to this .kindly help and oblige.

hi,
What is IP address of emulator on both the computer is it localhost/127.0.0.1 or computer physical address ? if it's 127.0.0.1 it's not possible to comunicate via ethernet send and recieve. because to send/recieve unique IP address is required to identify source/destination while communicating. hence use computer physical IP address.
Also check first both computer physical IP address can ping each other. i.e both computers are in same network !
Also not sure if that impacts but switch off firewall if switched on.
Check this link for more info on running emulator on physical IP address @ http://www402.abbext.com/AC-800F-Emulator-q623613.aspx#commentsList624930
