Freelance Trend Server
Hello World,
I have installed trend server on a Freelnace 2016 SP1 RU01, PC is W7 SP1.
Server is installed on a Freelance Operation PC and there is nothing else on this PC.
The server is running in the project tree, when I add variabels I have to load the
server also.
On all Operation PC I have access to the variable list so I can make User Trends.
But, there will not be any process values in this trends.
If a configure a "normal" trend there is the same problem.
Trend using acc.block works perfect.
I have also installed the Tunnel on the Operations PC, is that correct?
Must I install the Tunnel on all PC?
Can anyone help me? Please...
Best regards

Hello Tore,
the tunnel (server side) needs to be installed on the PC that has the TrendServer running. The tunnel's client side is already part of the Freelance Operations installation. That means the tunnel software does not need to be explicitely installed on the Freelance Operations PCs.
You need to configure the tunnel on the server side. If the trendserver is the only OPC server in the system you can use the Simple Configurator. Have a look at the ReleaseNotes of Freelance 2016SP1, Section 5 "OPC Tunnel".
Don't forget to to start the tunnel (best automatic start with Windows) which is also described there.
If there is still no value in your trends check that the system time is set correctly in the controller and that the Freelance Operations settings have the time synchronization checked. With a time difference between controller and FO the values might still be in the trend, but ly in the past.
Hello Tore,
If the tunnel is configured correctly on the server, then all Freelance Operations should be able to connect to it. You don't need to install it on any other PCs.
Check if Trend Server is running (it should be visible on the station) and if the tunnel is connected to it (You can check it with Advanced Configurator). Also remember to restart the tunnel after every change in its configuration.
Hope this helps,
Mike
