ABB 800M modulebus communication problem
I am facing problem. I cannot communicate with I/O card and ABB DCS 800 drive on the optical Modulebus. My configuration is: ABB 800M + optical cluster modem with I/O cards + DCS800 drive. I am using compact control builder 6.0
1. when I directly connect optical cable from 800M to the DCS 800 drive then communication is OK.
2. When I directly connect optical cable from 800M to the cluster modem with I/O cards then communication is OK
3. When I connect optical cabel from 800M to the cluster modem and from cluster modem to the DCS 800 drive then communication is NOT OK. Communication with DCS 800 is not OK and more over I also temporery lost communication with some I/O card. For example for 20s communication to the card is bad and then OK, then again bad...See attached file
Does anybody know why after connected DCS800 drive to the modelebus it affect this problem? Please help me.
Hardware connection with Modulebus IOs wont cause any communication failures normally.
You should check for any loose connections or some other error.
New Modulebus IOs connection to Controller direct Via optical cable requires a Cold restart download of controller and IO cards should be assigned such as numbering should begin from 101.
Thank you Mokshith for you reply. I will check it again on Monday. I am thinking about one thing. I go with cable from 800M to the cluster modem with address 2 (cards are 201,202 ...) and then from cluster modem to the DCS 800 drive, which has adress 101. Is it OK? Should DCS800 drive has higher address such 301 because it is physicaly connected behind cluster modem with address 2( 201,202 ....)
