Modbus TCP Coil
I am currently trying to get a device to properly read single coils over Modbus TCP on an AC700F. I am able to read registers no problem however the unit doesn't seem to be reading coils correctly, all addressing looks to be correct at both ends.
Can anybody advise?
Not clear which side of reading coils is incorrect! in yourcase
Incase at ac 700f side you can not read value correctly, then you are reading as master or slave ? Incase of as master via MODM object check (i) you have selected coil status or try to switch to input status ! (ii) double check slave and coil address, not sure with destination address type but check if there any offset you need to add while reading, with +1 i.e if address is 10000 then try with 10001.
Incase you are reading as slave via MODS object double check start address try also with offset(if any).
Check you have assigned correct interface object i.e check back IP address of assigned interface object. And at the end double check and make sure status of coil at source is same what you are reading ? sometime checking all this sounds irritating again and again but small error camoflague and overseen, so take help of some different eyes and mind.
Good luck !
