Power supplies maintenance SA168, DSSA165, DSSR122
I have a customer who has different power supplies, DSSA165, SA168 and DSSR122 on the AC450.
According to the ABB document, all these are replaced every 10 years (if in a controlled environment). My problem is that they did not write a date when they were installed. Can I get the date from the rating plate about the power supply and how should I interpret it (look at pictures)?
4D = probably 1994 April.
Try to get a view of the large electrolytes or transformer inside the DSSR122. They have production timestamps that will probably confirm 1994 or 2004.
Depending on load, ambient temp and roughness of the 24V feed the DSSR122 electrolytes may wear out prematurely. The electrolytes design life is 10 years as given by the producer, at nominal load and input.
The 24V riple shall not exceed 2.4V peak-to-peak (IEC 61131-2)
The 5V riple shall not exceed 0.2V peak-to-peak
