Aspect "Faceplate Redirect"
I would like to know details about aspect Faceplate Redirect - for what it is used, when it should be used, what one have to care about when this aspect used. Any details as far I can't find any reference in documentation.
Thanks in advance.

The redirect aspect was done by Consult IT and used in cases where a user may want to access another object's faceplate instead of another. An example of this was when an AI would be the source of an alarm but it was part of a PID loop, the user would not want the AI faceplate but rather the "tag" or PID loop faceplate in order to take action. The aspect used some scripting to get the parent's object's default aspect etc...,.
However, this functionality was taken and put into what is called "Alarm Response". This "alarm response" feature was introduced in 800xA 5.1 FP1 and does a similar definition of other aspects, i.e. with scripting if desired or direct access, but instead of just one aspect, it can define and invoke 4 aspects at once. Also, instead of just a selection from the aspect/context menu, it can be invoked from the alarm list. So, instead of just the default aspect being called up, such as the faceplate for the object in alarm, up to 4 different aspects can be called up upon an operator double clicking the alarm in an alarm list.
Hope this helps.
