Is necesary consider Tags if I will use a 800xA+IM as an OPC Gateway of AC800M Historical Data to another system?
We will sell a 800xA + Information Management for collect the Historical Data from some AC800M an comunicate this historical data throught OPC to another Foxboro System, in other words we will use the 800xA + Information Management as a OPC Gateway of AC800M Historical Datal, my question is the following: I will need consider Tags Licenses?, I think is not necesary because the 800xA will not be used like a HMI only like a OPC Gateway of AC800M Historical Data, But I will need mke engineering over the AC800M but I undestand that I do not need tags for can do that

No, you do not need any tags. A tag is a "faceplate". If you have no HMI then you do not need any faceplates. Delete them all from the system
Also, you do not need an IM. The IM is only an extended historian. And the "Basic History" functions are perfectly good as a trend historian. All of your OPC data comes from the Base 800xA system. Basic History has an OP-HDA interface.
And finally, if you are simply looking for a gateway to AC800M controllers, then do not even buy an 800xA system. Use Compact Control Builder ( part of the compact products suite ) which is a stand alone programming tool which also contains to OPC server for AC800M
Hello,
Any object in 800xA which had faceplate aspect will be considered for Tag license.
Tag License is not required in your case since you are not using 800xA as HMI (ie.,not using any faceplates)
