Recover a CEX module after a failed Firmware Upgrade
Is there any way to recover a CEX module ( in this case a CI855 ) after a failed firmware upgrade ?
The CI855 module does not boot, does not appear in the AC800M controller log and cannot be upgraded by using the normal "Remote System" upgrade tool.

I assume this relate to the other thread: http://www402.abbext.com/CI855-firmware-upgrade-q6038050.aspx?
This is the first failed upgrade I've encountered (though I don't mainly work with our hardware) - so nothing out of the ordinary. If the run light is on, the unit may be somewhat "alive" but if it does not present itself as something the main processor can recognise it will not be "adopted" or reported.
There is not so much that I know that can be done in the field with exception for what Harsha wrote; give the hardware a good reset (total power off, maybe even disconnect the battery) - but I don't give that much of a chance.
Probably, you need to have the unit replaced. Root cause analysis (RCA) is optional, but also an extra cost.
