Adding field map into the graphic element PG2
I want to add a application for my scada screen. It ıs the field's map and ıt can be zoom for equipments and control units.I think I should try it activex wrapper but I don't know how can I get map into the application?
I think we might need additional information to get you the best answer.
1) What is the normal application the map works in? Google Maps, Microsoft Mappoint, maybe something else?
2) Are you looking to simply access the map as a callup from a button using an aspect link, have it as an object on the screen, or are you wanting to try and have the map as the "background" of the graphic?
Providing answers to these two questions should help improve the quality of the answers you get.
Hello Mr. Huffman
Firstly thanks for your interest. I want to run Google Maps application which includes process area. It must be a Scada page and I can reach with aspect view button but I don't know how can I run Google Maps in 800xA or can I run this application.
With all respect.
you can launch any windows application. Just create a "Windows Application" aspect somethere in your system (e.g. Functional Structure). In this aspect you define the excutable file and command line option if you like. Then just call the aspect via a button as Dustin say.
There may be only one problem. If you minimize the application and your operator don't have access to the Windows Taskbar it could be tricky to close the application. If it run only one instance it maybe pop up again if you push the start button again. Otherwise you may get a lot of intances running.
