Verification of 800xA Safety Controller logic
We have a 800xA Safety controller and an engineering laptop which isnt normally connected. How can i verify the code within the safety controller is the same code on the laptop?
"an engineering laptop which isnt normally connected."
What do you mean by this ? In an 800xA system you cannot have a stand alone engineering station - the engineering station MUST be part of the 800xA system.
If you do not have an 800xA system, but instead have only a stand alone Compact Control Builder then simply try to go online with Control Builder. If the program versions are different then you cannot go online.
To verify the versions between controller and Control Builder M; just try to go online without download.
This is how a difference would look like:
To find out who downloaded and when; use Remote System -> IP address -> Show Downloaded Items:
You can not use HI controllers with Compact Control Builder.
Hence, the laptop must be a System 800xA Single Engineering Node with the AC800 Connect & AC 800 Connect HI system extensions installed and loaded.
In addition to application name, download time and location, you may verify the signature code of running applications and controller configuration. The signature codes are unique and change each time you download your new configuration to the AC800M controllers. When your configuration differs from downloaded one you may collect detailed informations on each difference by running source code report.
