If a tag is present in multiple displays, how do i confgure which display acts as the default aspect for that object
Answers
Goes to the structure where you have multiple displays, and you select details the aspect you want to be default, in aspect info tab you need to check option default aspect, this aspect will act a default aspect.
I am referring to the Alarm Response Navigation in this case. Please see the snapshot above.
As per this configuration, in the operator workplace, if the operator double clicks on an object in the alarm list it would redirect him to the relevant Graphic Display PG2 aspect wherever the object is instantiated in the HMI.
However, if this object has been called in multiple displays, thn how do we configure which of these theree displays would the alarm response navigate to.
In the example above, particular object is present in three graphic displays (circled items). Now how do i configure which of the three displays would the object navigate to in an alarm response situation?
Hi,
check priority in Library Structure / Preferences and Customizations / Aspect Precedence Lists / Default...
Or check page 115 of 3BSE030322-510_A_en_System_800xA_Operations_5.1_Operator_Workplace_Configuratio
n.pdf
Checking "Default Aspect" has lowest priority.
Anyway when you click alarm, the alarm is generated by object, so you see aspect which is default and resides on this object that generated alarm.

Hello,
.
I have the same issue on a 5.1 FP4 RevD system, and I'm wondering if this solution solved your problem. In you question it looks like you have 3 separate objects, each with a different graphic display which in turn are referenced by the object generating an alarm. The "References" show all of these three display aspects.
.
If one changes "default aspect" for anobject I can see it working if all displays were under the same object, but I don't see how this would have an effect for separate objects?
.
Is it not possible to specify an aspect category from an explicit object when using the "Alarm Response Navigation Object Settings" override aspect on a specific tag with alarm response navigation?
.
Example: We have a tag/object in "Control Structure" generating an alarm, and this has references to three PG2 displays under 3 separate objects in the "Functional Structure".
.
We added the override aspect and tried to manually select a specific PG2 graphic by using "Path & Category". I enter "object ID" & several other possible combinations in the "object path" property (incl. the examples), but it seems nothing works.. Am I missing something; isn't this possible?
