Configuring the AC500 PM 554 Port as 422 Modbus
I do using the AC500 PM554 CPU to communicate with 12 DC drives over Modbus protocol
the case is this drive support the RS422 not the RS485 , is that doable ?
also id I do configure the serial port to RS422 do I will be able to connect to the CPU to do further configurations ?
since the CPU has only one serial port
is there is an example to the Modbus communication to be used as hint ?

In some cases communicating between RS-485 and RS422 devices is possible, but ONLY if the RS-485 port uses a 4-wire system. The AC500 port does not.
Unfortunately the TA562 also only uses 2 wires and is a RS-485 interface. According to the help files, the only AC500 module that supports RS-422 is a PROFINET® IO Bus Module CI504-PNIO or CI506, which are both profinet slave modules and are probably not what you are looking for, but may work.
Google RS-422 to RS-485 converters. Theres plenty available.
