Excel report- hidden compiler error in 2016 800xa 6.0.3 and OS server 2012 r2
Hi,
I am facing a problem of excel report add in error.
Whenever I am adding the Add-in from the excel options, I am getting the below mentioned error.
Microsoft forms - could not load some objects because they are not available on this machine
When I click on OK button data direct addin got added.
But whenever I am clicking on the history values button I am getting the above mentioned error message and after pressing OK onto it I am receiving one more message as below mentioned.
Microsoft visual basic applications - compile error in hidden module ppa_history_forms
For your information I have used Microsoft support related trouble shooting methods like uninstall and reinstall.
Can any one please suggest me to come out of this problem.
Regards,
Rakesh

Hello Rakesh,
Is this error happening in any node of your system? Where are you trying to add this Add-in? Do you have IM Server?
By the other hand...
Please assure that the installation of excel in the node that you have the problem has been done as recommended... this is:
Features from the Installation Options dialog box and to accept the default
subfeatures under the Office Shared Features selection".
"When installing Microsoft Excel, select the Custom installation. When the
Installation Options dialog box appears. select the Visual Basic for Applications
option under Shared Features". Please check the above configuration and try again (if you modified something). BR Valeria
Other thing, is this happening for all the users?
If you are adding this Add-in for your user first time, be sure that you have configured the macro security configurations.

Rakesh, the installation instructions are valid for many excel versions...
Here you have the manual extract fo SV 6.0
"Microsoft Excel
When installing Microsoft Excel 2010 or 2013 or 2016 it is required to select
Office Shared Features from the Installation Options dialog box and to accept the default subfeatures under the Office Shared Features selection. When installing Microsoft Excel, select the Custom installation. When the
Installation Options dialog box appears. select the Visual Basic for Applications
option under Shared Features."
Please check if the installation of office has been correctly done...
If it is correct, maybe this article that I have found can be useful:
I hope this helps

If Compile Error in Hidden Module error message is appearing in your system while using Excel then first of all check whether you have installed the latest version of Adobe Acrobat add-in.
If yes and still facing this error then you can try deleting the .exd files from your folder, this might help you in solving the compile error in hidden module in excel. Follow the steps to delete files:
· Press Windows + R key· Type %appdata% and click on OK
· This will open the Application Data folder, double click on Microsoft
· Click on Forms folder
· Select comctllib.exd and mscomctllib.exd, Right-click on them and select Delete
Deleting the .exd files will let you start Excel and the compile error in hidden module issue will be resolved.
