Tutorial for MMS communication
Hi!
I'm involved in a project were have two AC800 controllers that is supposed to talk to each other. One is PM851A, the other model number I don't have at the moment. The things we want to share with them are analog values and digital signal e.g. setpoints and start signals.
Between them there is Ethernet network and they will most likely also be within the same subnet as well. But the will both i a part in two superior control systems
I have been searching around the manuals didn't mention much on how to actually get started and how to code.
Is there any tutorial regarding this available or can someone out there in the forum help me?

Of course, it is possible easy to exchange variables between ABB AC800M controllers. Type of the processor module is not so important in this case, they could be different.
You have a two easy possibilities, using Ethernet: MMS communication (with access variables) and IAC communication between controllers.
Both are very good described in the manuals, you have to read it.
For example, from Google appear the following:

AC800M Communication Protocols
Also many other discussion in AKS about that issue
