there is a delay while calling a face plate at that time the system gets hanged for a particular time...

Some delay is expected (~1s) - what figures are we talking about?
What connectivity (OPC Server) is delivering the data to the faceplate?
I suggest calling up the Diagnostic Window* and take screen shots of
*) Right click in faceplate canvas area and select Diagnostics
Then submit the results.
You may also consider to bring this up with your regional ABB support group.
Also it has been observed that if the CPU load on the Aspect server is high, then also calling up aspects like faceplate, alarm list, etc takes time to open.
It would be good if you share the type of environmnet with hardware configuration of the nodes so that we will help you in optimizing the performance.
