Still problem with Error in MMS communication in online system
Referring to my question 15 days ago regarding the MMS communication error in online system. I have now changed the PM851 to PM861. After performing an online change on the AI801 card that gave me problem last time, I now also get the error message MMS communication error in online system on the new PM861. The MMS communication error in online system is only shown when I check the status of the same AI801 card. The AI801 card gives the correct values when I am online in in the structured text and in the scada system. Errors massage only occurs in the online view of hardware in Compact Control Builder ver. 6.0.
The AI801 card is used on a slave CI830 with 3 x DO801, 6 x DI801, 1 x AI801 and 1 x AO801.
Can the problem lie on the CI830 or AI801 card? Can it be something wrong in Compact Control Builder 6.0? This error only by check of the status of the card itself not when I check the value of the input in the instruction list.
If I keep the status check of the AI801 card in my picture, after some seconds all the slaves and IO card get an red triangle in Control Builder. I then have to go offline and online again to get back to normal.
Please read carefully help information for CI830 and Profibus DP-V0 I/O System (when open CI830 in HW of Control Builder, select Help -> Help about CI830).
Your configuration seems OK, may be some Profibus settings are not correct.
It is good in your case to check EnableDPCalculation (Control Builder -> Tools -> Setup -> Station -> System Variable...
It has to be set to TRUE. That enables automatic calculation of Profibus Master Parameters during Compilation (Download to the controller or Simulation):
Also, try with different (lower) Boudrate values in your master CI854 and download again.
What's about online value of AI channel, when it becomes red? In case of failure it should freeze at last value, but it is not updated anymore (you can write a different value on it in OnLine).
Your problem doesn't looks like a problem with your hardware nor your application but with your engineer station. I recomend you try to install your CCB in other computer. Another point is we faced a lot of problems with CCB 6.0 and we changed to CCB 6.02 that solved almost everything.
Have tried switching CI830 to CI801 without this worked better. Have at least the fault of all IO cards on this slave. It seems that the status indication in CCB6.0 functioned properly until the first down loading of online changes. Since CCB6.0 resides on a server, serving multiple CPUs, it is not so easy to test CCB6.0 on another PC. Otherwise there's no update to Compact Control Builder 6.0.2 that I get information about.
