Connections to AC450 PC Elements
Hello,
We are seeing a occasional alarm from a Valvecon that references IB4. There are no connections to IB4 (And no IB4 Text assigned in the DB element). Looking a little deeper, I find that some of our non connected I/P's to our Valvecons/Pidcons & Motcons are set to '1' and some are 'D=1'.
Is it possible that the IB4 (currently set to 1) is dropping out, resulting in the default property text appearing?
Is it best practice to have these unconnected I/P's all set to 'D=1'
Thanks very much,
Tim

No
Digging deeper ...
-- Is this Advant OS or 800xA ?
-- What is the name of the Element that is creating the alarm ? Debug that element and don't bother looking at other valvecons unless they have the same name. (Which should not be possible in an AC450 unless somebody played with system commands)
-- Have you got SoftAlarms or Alarm Expressions configured ?
It turns out that there is a discrepency between the Valvecon Event Text settings in the AC450 & the Advant Master for 800xA. Originally our Event_'x' (IB1 - IB4) had 'Line No. in Event Treat' 13,14,11,12 assigned respectivly. With 800xA, that changed to 11, 12,13 & 14. We will need to edit that particular event to correct the issue.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Thanks for clarifying the difference. What about the issue where we receive the default property text 'BInterl4' when there is no connection to IB4?
