CoDeSys HMI Web visualization problem?
Hi, I've just found the cause. From January 2014, Java does not allow to execute unsigned or autosigned applets (version 7 update 51). Since the CoDeSys HMI applet is not signed (in CoDeSys versions previous to V22.214.171.124), once you upgrade Java it won't be allowed to run.
One way to avoid this is to enter Control Panel -> Java (in Windows 7) and reduce the Security Level to "Medium", to allow for unsigned applets to execute. Of course, this comes at the cost of decreasing the security features of Java, but if this is not a critical issue, it's a quick and easy solution.
Another solution is to upgrade CoDeSys to V126.96.36.199 or higher; I don't know if this will have any repercussions, since CoDeSys is integrated with ControlBuilder, but the option is there.
The third and final choice is to upgrade the WebVisu applet manually. You can download the upgraded files and an intruction manual in PDF from the CoDeSys website.
Thank you all for your answers.
