Connecting AC800F to PC through ethernet
Hello and thank you in advance;
I am working with the Controller AC800F for a project of my degree.
The problem is that I can not connect the controller to the work pc using a ethernet cable between them.
The Pc (win10) is connected directly with the ethernet cable to the ethernet (10Base-t EI 813F) controller module and I have checked that the rotary switch in the back of the ethernet module is in position 1.
I am following the manual:
Freelance 2016 Engineering Handbook - Process Stations 2PAA114393
In the first part, to check that there is connection between both, is recommended to make a ping from the pc to the controller and when I do it, I got this message: "Reply from 10.38.30.132: Destination Host Unreachable" ( 10.38.30.132 is the Wireless LAN Adapter from what I saw with cmd ipconfig ).
Could be a problem with the subnet mask?
Or is my PC using the wrong adapter ?

If the rotary switch on the Ethernet card of AC 800F is set to 1, the address of this interface is set to 172.16.1.1 with subnet mask 255.255.240.0. From what You wrote it seems IP address of Your Engineering station (PC workplace) is in in diferent subnet. Please change the IP address and subnet mask of Your PC.
If that is not possible You could change the address of AC 800F - set the rotary switch to 0, connect with Proces Station using diagnostic cable and change the adress. Note that this will need much more work, than changing Ethernet settings of Your PC and will work only if you have a battery backup.
Hope this helps,
