How to provide option like 'Start time' to 'End time' to extract a particular time data from a day logged report?
In one of our project, customer required to logged a data for every second of a day. Which is possible in 800Xa Reports.
Probleme/ Question:- At the same time he wants a option like 'Start time' to 'End time' to extract a particular time data from a one day logged report.
For example:- If a report generated are from yesterday's 8 am to today 8 am; it should be logged in a particular folder (which is possible). After that, they required data (customized timing) from yesterday evening 7 pm to 10:30 pm which will be depend on him, means they want a customized time to be enter by themselves to extract a data in a particular period of time.
How it can be achieved?
Once a report is completed it is no longer possible for 800xA to modify it. If you want to further analyse the data you would need to create a new report.
This sounds like the customer requirement is outside the scope of the DCS reports. Suggest the customer exports the basic report data in excel format and does the analysis themselves.
The 800xA System has a number of standard pre-configured reports that allow the user to provide a beginning to Reporting available within the system. Included is an attachment that shows how to implement one of these templates, "Daily Report". By taking this Report Template, I believe a user can modify the embedded Function Calls to provide the parameters that you are interested in. I have attached instructions on how this Report operates. There are two references within this document that discuss pre-configured spreadsheets, which I have also included. This template could provide the basis for building a template to satisfy your needs, which could be run manually at the user's desired interval. I have also included an attachment on adding a "Calculate Full" button, as utilizing the F9 key in Excel does not always provide the desired results.
Finally, one additional attachment provides some hints on modifying the standard template.
