Active Directory corrupted, can we shut down Domain Controller ?
I have 5.1 FP4 system with 2 separated Domain Controllers. We experienced some strange behaviours such as: unable to access shared folders on some pc... I tried to open Active Directory on Domain Controller and found errors on both DCs as attached. The Active Directory seems gone.
My questions are:
1. Is it safe to shutdown both DCs and system still working normally?
2. What is possible reasons why suddenly Active Directory gone? Anyway to bring it back?

Probably not. The 800xA system *may* continue to function for a while, it will probably break if you have to reboot any domain member computers. However, it looks like your domain may already be dead, so its hard to say how you should proceed from here. Most likely you're going to have to boot the domain controllers more than once.

The list of possible reason would fill a book. Without more info its not possible to say why it happened to you.

Probably, but again its not possible to say from the info you've provided. Google is your friend. There is plenty of information available on how to activate / repair / restore Active Directory Services on the net.
