Intermitent connection between AC500 and Anybus X-Gateway
I'm trying to communicate a Devicenet slave with a CM572-DP master by means of an Anybus X-gateway (DN scanner to PB slave).
So far I've managed to configure the DN network, but I'm having trouble with the PB side, since the CM572 indicates a slave error ("station does not exist"). The weird thing is that the Anybus Gateway doesn't have any error LEDs on, and in ControlBuilder I can see some data from the DN slave when in online mode, but the data seems to come and go with some frequency. Also, the CPU diagnosis in CB shows an increasing number of "communication error with slave" messages, as if the device was going on and off several times. I've checked the Devicenet and Profibus cables several times.
There are no other devices in the network. Any ideas of why is this happening, or what else can I check?

The first thing after cables working with profibus is:
1. *.gsd! Is it the newest?
2. The configured IN and Outputs in Control builder are they correct!
3. I saw that there are parameters in Anybus(this was a modbus) to set delay and bus speeds. They have to match.
4. Are the node number configured from CB+ or is it set on the node?
Here you will find some support on the module:
It still sounds like you have a physical installation problem. When you say "you have checked the cable several times" what have you actually checked ? Have you used the correct cable type, how long is it, how is it run, has it been terminated according to the specifications, is it shielded properly, is it terminated properly, does the cable really run where you think it is supposed to run etc. With bus installations "near enough" is NOT "good enough" and everything must be done properly using the correct tools. ( and yes, I have made all these mistakes myself )
Otherwise, try slowing the baud rate of the bus. Slower transmission rates are more reliable usually.
