How to override SIL access property permissions to get multiple user access levels ?
I have already configured correctly the SIL access permissions to force on SIL applications, however there is a requirement where the normal operator is capable of forcing only a certain type of signal through the faceplate while the supervisor/engineer is capable of the same action plus forcing the remaining types of signals as well.
I have tried the property attribute override aspect and it works very well when the application is non SIL (Administrate, Tune ... etc), however once it becomes SIL rated forcing is allowed only to those with the safety operator role which in this case has to be
both the operator and engineer, so effectively I'm not capable of acheiving different access levels to acheive the requirement.
Is there any way to disable/dim the force button (In.Forced property) on the faceplate for a certain library type to a certain user level (operator) while remain as configured for the engineer level (other than using the authentication option in the property attribute override aspect) ?
You have to use Security Definition aspect.
We have implemented the same in one of our plant in which F&G(SIL2) System tag can be override/Forced by operator and engineer user, ESD(SIL3) system tags can be override/forced only by Engineer user. In the above case both User should Safety Operator Role but u have to denie the access for Operator User in application or Program level.
