Using aftermarket SD card with AC500
The standard SD card used with AC500 is apparently 512M. You can no longer buy SD cards this small. Instead I am trying to use an aftermarket 4GB Sandisk SDHC card.
Has anyone managed to correctly format a 4GB SD Card down to 512M and get it working with an AC500 ? So far I have managed to create a 512M partition (using diskpart on a Win7 machine) and format it to FAT16, but the card is still not recognized by the AC500.
Is there another way to do this ? Am i missing something?

The SDcard has to be <2GB.
It has to be formated in fat16.
It has to be the slow cards.
We have had costumers using different brand and there are none we can reccommend. Some work and some does not. Even card from the same brand does not work all the time.
You can test if it works by putting it into the sd card slot of the plc. If it creates the folder and the *.ini file you are home safe.
The Standard for MC502 is now 2GB. I got the first delivered a month or 2 ago so they are probably emptying thier stock.
As an ABB employee I reccommend you buy our cards to save you some trouble.
